about Berlin

Berlin-Friedrichshain

Don't try to pronounce that word. A semi-official abbreviation is F'hain, but I won't mention that in English.

I try to give an impression of life in Berlin. It's fun. Individuallity. Rude people who turn out to be really nice when you talk to them. Huge sense of humor. Affordable appartments close to the city centre.Lots of trees, parks, playgrounds. Big fire-works in Summer and for New Years Eve!!! Do I sound like Berlin-PR?

We do have houses in Berlin. If pressed, I would even admit that the cars look slightly different. The Animals are mostly dogs in real life, not my favorite animals, which brings me to the little brown lumps...

Some of the things are souveniers from various trips. Travelling is so much part of my life it seems to be part of Berlin, too.

We don't have mountains in Berlin, no pink ones nor white lumpy ones, I just like the sculptures. Berlin is absolutely flat, surrounded by lakes. The one thing that's missing is a good-sized ocean. That's why I put the curtain-picture in. The yellow is the sun, the blue is the sea, one can dream...
